The National Dutch Read Aloud Day: Books for Bonaire

The National Dutch Read Aloud Days are held from 25 January till 5 February. During this event reading aloud to children is encouraged. Reading aloud has many benefits to reading comprehension, especially vocabulary, sentence construction and cohesion.  

Every year a winner for the best picture book is chosen, this year the winner is ‘But first I caught a monster’ (Publishing house Lemniscaat) written by Tjibbe Veldkamp and illustrated by Kees de Boer.
